Front End Loader for MF265

Can anyone tell me what brands used (preferably) or new might fit an old Massey Ferguson 265 2wd tractor. I really dont want to pay more than the $5,500 I paid for the tractor for a FEL. Thanks in advance

I would recommend a Bush Hog brand FEL, 2346QT more than likely would do everything you could ask of it. Just contact your local BH dealer and get a quote on one, should be a little over $4000, depending on how good a mood the dealer is in!

BH makes great front end loaders, we have installed many on 200 series Massey's and they are wonderful...plus you can even get them in MF red. Good luck.

Gamble thanks for the info and do you know where I might be able to get a used one. That price is almost what I paid for the tractor.

Paul,
FELs are one thing that are not sold used that often and when you find one the price is not discounted enough to choose used over new. Also hard to find used with the correct bracketry, etc. You may get lucky, but probably will be in for a long wait.

Used loaders are very hard to come by, they are in the my neck of the woods anyway...and like some of the other guys said if you are lucky enough to find one chances are the mounting brackets won't be right and you will still have to buy them new. I would just plunk down the money for a new one, that way it would be under warranty and you could be assured you can get parts for it.

Again I would recommend the BH brand. I can't even begin to count how many BH loaders we have installed, but I can count on one hand how many we have had problems with. Good luck!

You might also take a look at Koyker Loaders. I've been around many used on hay and ag farms on tractors like the 265 and up. Well bulit but I don't know how they compare on price to something like the bushhog loaders.
