Front Lift Arms / PTO

Hi All

Was looking at fitting these to my tractor anyone used them got experience

good idea or not. appears best pto is a straight drive of the mid mount pto other takes off engine but do not know yet how.

Front hitches and ptos are great if you have the correct implements for them. For the most part the front mounted implements are going to be more expensive and harder to find. I have been looking into this for my vineyard tractor and if I have the money I will go with it as I would prefer to chop the brush and grass before I run over it. It would make it easy to mount sprayers and such as well. There is a lot of implements that we can mount to the front of vineyard tractors which is why I have been considering it. But for the most part you have to really weigh out the cost of adding it to an existing tractor and buying the implements that will work for the front.

Most likely tractor will be an ST30 with large backhoe, as such three point linkage will be out of action.

Although will have a front loader was looking at taking this off from time to time,

Tractor will be used to excavate tree pits for large root balled trees so was looking at a transport box for the front able to lift almost a half ton. So tree can be moved. Box would also carry all the bits required to install , gravel, compost pipes etc etc.

Would want to use a snow plough as well.

As to the pto was thinking along the lines of a stone rake for landscaping,

using back hoe to load stones as well as work a 4 foot landscape rake n banks were stone rake can not get to.

When back hoe off would be working a stone burrier so would want front loader for large stones etc.

Anyone no of suppliers or 2nd hand lift arms.

I got a price for the arms in photo one,

Lets just say I asked the guy if that included the tractor,

silly price what you would expect to pay for a not just a full size tractor but a beast of a machine.

I would check with the Pronovost folks in Quebec as they are building the front mount 3 point hitch kits for tractors under 50 horse power for the PTO implements and the non powered three point implements too. :thumbsup:
