I'm beginning research on what front blade to purchase which will mount on the loader quick disconnect (M59). One unit I will consider is a Borgford which you can see at (home is Borgfords home page)

I'm looking for something that is not just for snowplowing so I can use it for light grading. I'll also consider the bobcat unit and I believe landpride now has one as well.

Anyone out there have a loader mounted blade that they are really satisfied with or have any experience with the ones I have mentioned?

Thanks
Bill

Thanks for the link. I am looking for a front blade as well, and I will be interested to see what their price is. Looks like a decent product.

I bought a FEL QA to 3pt adapter so that any 3 pt implements can be mounted to the loader arms. The plan is to use one of my existing landpride three point back blades in the reversed position as a front blade just to see how it would work. Actually I had it all set up to use that way last winter but found that in moderate snow the tractor had plenty of power and weight to just push snow with the bucket. So I got lazey and haven't used the blade yet. Can't wait to hear how yours goes.

its a bad idea by accounts. puts an uneven load on the FEL arms. I've no trouble believing it, as I bent my forward cross-shaft without such a thing.

I do use a snowplow, but its got trips.

The blade portion of a 4n1 is also very useful. I have my 4n1 mounted in preference to the kubota bucket most of the time

I've been using a massey ferguson blade which they refer to as a dozer blade for pushing snow. It's welded to a skid steer quick mount and has hydraulic tilt. It has trip springs and skid shoes so I don't have to worry about damaging the loader arms. Works well for snow, but I have no intention of using it for gravel. everythingattachments.com had something just like it as well.
