Ok, can anyone give me any info/advice on this loader? I am not looking for anyone to know the brand, but I found this deal really close to me, I dont even know if it will fit...can brackets be made? It is just the arms, cylinders and bucket, no hoses or joystick control....can I buy those things elsewhere? Guy only want $150 for what you see, is it possible to get the parts from aftermarket? Any info that can help please drop a line! He claims it would fit a YM2000, from what a Tractor "Guy" told him,,,the guy selling doesnt have a clue and bought it at an auction and tried to fit it to a Kubota with no luck.

Also, I want to put this on my YM2001, is it possible to splice into the hydraulic lines or will I need a separate pump?

Here is the description:
2000 Yanmar Front Loader Attachment / w Scoop. Bought for tractor but did not fit.

I doubt that any loader manufacturer makes their own control valves and hoses. All are aftermarket even if they carry the manufacturers name, (as in Craftsman).

Norm, where do I start with pricing some?

Yes you can splice into your line going from pump to 3pt. Hoye has help listed under technical and it will also lead you to the fittings you would need. I put quick connects on both ends so when I take my loader off you just unplug and plug back straight to 3 point. Mine is ym2002 which I believe is very similiar to yours. Harbor freight sells hoses that I wouldn't be afraid to use. Tractor Supply sells some valves. Those valves have variables like float position, etc. Mine doesn't have that, wish it did. Whether that loader would fit your tractor I have no idea. No name on it? Northern Tool has a joystick loader valve with float for $199 on e-bay.

it has been painted so not sure of brand, i think the bucket itself is worth the $100 i may just buy it, good project for spring. anyone else got an info i could use? local welder/fab shop said making a mounting kit isnt a issue?? i wouldnt know, can a mounting kit be easily made by measurements alone?

Any industrial supply house will carry valves, Grainger, Northern Tool, McMaster Carr. Any hydraulics shop or someone like NAPA can make up hoses. You just have to do a little looking. Can't help with the mounts, what is impossible for some is easy for others.

Just make sure it is wide enough to clear that muffler that sticks out on the right side.

My loader is near identical, not quite, so looking at some of my old pix might give you an idea how to mount it. The most unique part on mine is a big U-shaped support welded to the front bumper mount, that comes up and supports the front ends of those side bars.

Also mount it far enough forward so that you can tilt the hood past its balance point when the grill hits the loader's front crossmember. Mine is so close that opening the hood on rough sloping ground is iffy. On a flat surface the hood stays open fine.

Here's a pic showing that front support

And one showing how high that front crossmember is. Again, don't let that stop the hood from tilting, before the hood has tilted forward past its balance point.

Here is an old thread (2004) where I took pictures showing how loader stress is carried back to the rear axle. The second photo shows what supports the back of the loader assembly.

And the photos referenced from my sig below might give you some ideas.

I think this is do-able but be sure to use a welding shop that has done several. I'm sure there are several gotchas for the beginner.

If you can weld, you can certainly make it work and the $150 price is right. As has been mentioned, the valve and hoses are easy to come by and Hoyes site outlines how to plumb a loader under "Koyker loader install". You will need to fabricate some belly brackets to mate to the loader. Hoyes site has pics that can give you an idea of what they need to look like and where they will attach. I would also suggest making this a subframe mount that runs to the rear axle as California has, it makes a big difference in how the weight is distributed to the tractor and helps avoid potential damage to front mounting points. If the loader arms are too narrow or too wide, you can always cut the supports between the arms and add or subtract length. I have adapted a large loader to a smaller tractor before and had to both narrow it between the arms and I had to cut length off each end of the arms and then drilled new pin holes plus build belly brackets and sub frame. It's a little bit of work but it's not overwhelming. The first time I did something like this, I had no plans and had little hydraulics experience and I just started making one bracket at a time and it slowly came together. I looked at pictures of loaders on ebay and TBN and a few FEL's on tractor lots to help get ideas about things while I was working on it. Since then, I have done several projects like this and I always approach them the same way and they always turn out well. I promise, with a little time and thought, you can easily make this work.

Just curious Smoody If the owner told you why it did not fit his ym2000?
You would most likley have the problem also if that is true. Can't see that It will not work.
Better hurry I ran into it in local Ga. but I think I'm closer Hehehehe!! Just Kidding I have one for the 8n That was taken off but still works if needed.

Carey, he tried to mount it to a Kubota tractor, not a yanmar, whoever looked at mounting it for him told him it would fit a yanmar, how he knew that I have no idea, im picking it up tomorrow! lol
