Tractor
mahindra 2816/FEL
I have a 2010 Mahindra 2816 with 300hours on . The tractor has been a real work-horse for me. In the last month the front bucket has delevoped a problem
When using the joystick for curling the bucket (on both sides) up or down the bucket has a mind of its own it auto curls it wont stop we u release the stick the bucket continues on. The joystick seems very sloppy only side to side (controling the curl) Front and back are normal (arms up and down) it is useable only just.

There is also a starting problem, it seems that the ignition switch is bad some times the tractor wont start but if u jiggle th key just right it will start up lately i have been just jumping the starter . suggestions:confused:

I'd roll the boot back on the stick and check the linkage.

Look at the bottom of the valve(opposite end of the stick) you will see two caps held with allen screws. Carefully remove the cap on the spool(aluminum cylinder) that is not moving. I've seen them get water in them and it rusts causing the spool to stick.

I was told by the dealer to keep my loader stick control area covered - so i keep a large garbage bag over it and ties it slightly to keep water out since i am forced to leave it outside. a mite to remove the bag and a minute to reinstall it and it works.

Food for thought, I bought a 10x15 ShelterLogic and can fit my Max24 and BoxBlade behind it with room to spare, ROPS up and is covered. Was 280 I think at homedepot. It has been much easier to just pull the tractor in there, than to constantly cover and uncover it with a tarp. As for the loader controls, can you pull the boot up and spray some white lithium grease in there to help loosen things up. Donnie

I removed the loader stick control box from the tractor & took to my local hydraulic repair shop. one spring replaced (broken in 3 pieces), one new hose (small leak) cost $30.84. Remounted the loader stick control box, tractor now works like new. the local dealer wanted to take my tractor to his shop & check it out. est cost $600- $1000.00. Plus he could not even look at it for at least 3 weeks , as there were 25 jobs ahead of me, also no loaners avalible. I think my way was better........Steve
