front main seal leaking on a LA

I'm shopping around for a LA John Deere and found a good one nearby but there is oil pouring from the front main seal. Oil pressure is good while running but the leak is bad. Knowing nothing about that, is that a costly repair?

I'm shopping around for a LA John Deere and found a good one nearby but there is oil pouring from the front main seal. Oil pressure is good while running but the leak is bad.

After we took the radiator cover off and the cover that goes underneath the engine we found the front main seal was not leaking. The corner bolt that held the oil pan on was stripped and was letting the oil pour out. The hole was re-tapped and the oil leak stopped to almost nothing.
