I have the 63" Kubota Front Mount Blower hooked up to my B3030. Works great, however it's uneven. The right side hits the ground first, it's out by about 1.25" (same as my FEL, but that's another story).

Is there anyway to adjust this?

Try placing the tractor and blower on a level surface. Then loosen all the fasteners that attach the blower to the tractor. Then once the whole system is loose, cycle the cylinder up and down a half dozen times to load and unload the fasteners. Then with the blower housing resting lightly on that level surface, tighten all the fasteners.

While tightening, lightly snug each fastener first. Don't bring any of them up to full torqe just yet. Make about three passes around the whole group of nuts and bolts. In each successive pass increase the torque on the bolt. This will bring the whole group up to "tight" without allowing any one fastener to pull the system out of alignment.

This is the same procedure for leveling the FEL on the tractor.

thanks for your response Pks. When you say "Then loosen all the fasteners that attach the blower to the tractor", which bolts? The blower attaches to the sub-frame obviously. I don't see any way to adjust the sub frame. The only bolts I see that may be adjustable are 4 large ones that are on the sides of the fan housing.

I'm not familiar with the 3030's subframe. But since you don't think that's adjustable, then try working with the bolts that you did find.

BTW, it's not that things are adjustable, it's that there may be just enough slop between the holes and bolts that things could tilt a little when the system gets tightened up or bumped when being used.

It's also possible that asub-frame member is slightly warped.

thanks Peter,

The bolts I'm refering to appear to be "factory" installed and not anything to do with mounting. The sub-frame hooks over the very front of the tractor frame and a pin holds the back end up - doesn't look like any adjustment there. When I installed the subframe, it appeared to be straight, but I didn't have a real close look. My FEL is uneven as well, same side, same amount - I can't help but think there is a connection here?

Tire pressure is a good suggestion!

Also, does your subframe connect to the FEL in any way. Since your FEL is tilted too, maybe there is a relation. Or heaven forbid, could your tractor frame be bent a little?

What's the story behind the tweaked FEL. Maybe there's something there that would help?

Guys, I checked the tire pressure and the subrame is completely independent of the FEL.

My FEL has always been out by 1.25". I tried loosening off the FEL and "wiggling" it about, hoping it would hop into place. I learned to live with it. But when I hooked up the blower it got me wondering. I agree with you Pks, I keep thinking it's a tweaked frame....... or one tire is bigger or smaller (I did measure this and they appear to be the same size)

I have the same rig as kubotaone, however my 403 is dead level and even with the tractor. The blower has been off the machine since 10 21, delivery day. To be honest i dont recall looking that closely at the blower mount that day. I will mount it up asap and get back to you kubotaone. Scott.

thanks Scott, I'd appreciate that.

You saw my response to the blower chain post I assume? I'll try the link thing, hope it works.
