Snow Front mount Kioti snow blower

It's a heavy set up... But with weight comes reliability! It have never failed, but it's on the heavy side. I have a friend who combined in a late fall: oil change - maintenance - chain installation - front mounted snow blower on the same service call. Make sense to me.

Mine a pto driven Martin 54" snob lower, a real charm!View attachment 401238

Nice looking setup. What is that behind the driver seat? Is it a carry bin or roll cage?

I agree with putting the front mount on on concrete. I put mine on dollys and keep it in the back to the garage while the convertible is out in the summer.

Hi Kioti lovers. Do any of you have a front mounted snowblower on your Kioti CK series. I need to know. Do you find it difficult to attach? I mean do you do it in 2 pieces or one. Last year I took mine off and did it in one whole piece and had a heck of a time taking it off the tractor. I realized after that I should of taken the blower off first then the quick attach. Am I right or did I do it wrong. This year I had the dealer come out and put it on but I was not home when they came and now it is mounted on again Jeez. I wanted to be there to see how they did it lol. Any input on this would help me a lot cause I do things alone. Any suggestions
Thanks
Gilles
When mine was delivered Dec. 4 23 I asked the mechanic how to remove it. He told me to drop the whole thing (blower and sub-frame). He did stress that it should be done on a level surface. Don't forget to disconnect the hydraulics and PTO. He did mention that some dun-age to kinda prop the assembly was necessary. Oh, and when I asked how long it would take he said about 30-40 minutes. I'll find out in a couple of months. Hope this helps.

I took my front mount blower off 6 years ago and never put it back on. It takes two to do it easily, but if you want to do it alone, use a floor jack, you know the one with wheels on it. Put it on in two pieces, because it is hella heavy.

I've got a CK3510 with the KS66. This is my first year with both, so I can say it has worked well but i have barely used it. However, I have mounted and unmounted it several times. I chose (stupidly) to receive the blower and frame while they were still in the crate. Mediocre instructions and very heavy! But it gave me an intimate look at how it all works.
My buddy helped me and I have done it myself. What I found best was two sets of furniture dollies. Two larger ones for the blower and two smaller ones for the frame.

For the blower, I place the outside edge of the dollies on the edges of the snow blower, just inside the shoes, and then slide the 1x4 on the back of the dollies under the square box portion of the blower unit (just in front of the round support tubes). I do not use the retractable foot. I find this is balanced really well and i can move the unit around with ease.

Then i slide the two smaller dollies under the frame/cradle. Remove the rear shaft, then use one of those smaller jacks to lift the front by the hump, pull the pins and lower onto the dolley. Then, use the jack on the side of the cradle to take the weight off the pins and drop down to the dolly.

Sorry I don't have pics, but there is a guy on youtube with a good demonstration of how to do this with jacks, but he doesn't use dollies so he drives over the frame.
