Front Mount Snow Blower?

Hi. I just purchased an L3901. I knew going in that I didn't get a mid pto with this unit. Do I understand it correctly that their are blowers available for the quick attach loader that run off an added third function hydraulic control? If so... are they worth their salt? Seems like they might be underpowered by not being shaft driven? Anybody have one of these?

They arent powered by the 3rd function, they are generally powered by a PTO pump and a independent hydraulic system.
