Hi:

Don't laugh, but has anyone seen or made a front (loader) mount sweeper for a CUT? I have a 42" pull behind sweeper and I've always thought it would be a great idea if somebody made a front mount one (at least 72" wide) that attached to the loader and you could dump using the loader hydraulics?

It would have a bin that would empty when you lifted and curled the loader.

Has anyone fabricated or bought anything like this? I've thought about it but
haven't done anything yet.

maybe a skid steer loader one with the skid loader mount frame for the loader then get hydros ran to the front and put the sweeper on easy. it maybe pricey because its made for a skid steer but it could maybe work

There are Attachments made that will do exactly what you say, but they are designed for skid steer use. Your machine would not have the hydraulic capacity to operate such a broom.

Actually, Deere offers a front broom to fit your 3320. It doesn't mount on the loader frame though. It's strictly a broom though.
I've seen aftermarket brooms on various implement sites too. Suggest you do a search for PTO Brooms.

Thanks, I've seen the power brooms but that's not exactly what I'm looking for. I'm looking basically for an oversize lawn sweeper with a wheel driven brush but something I can put on the loader and dump using the loader.

Never seen it but would love something like that.

That is an awesome idea...Just like the old push leaf sweeper my dad used to own...and I wish I still did....

I am going to have to think about that..

Are you thinking leaves or sand and other debris

I've got a 2240 here at work with a front mounted 8' sweeper.. using a pto pump for pressure.. etc.

My only concern about putting one on a loader is the weight. Those sweeper are already way heavy.. and sticking it farther out than it already is would give it even that much more advantage. I guess a small skid steer unit could be used.. on a loader with a skid steer QA plate.. and then plumb off a pto pump like I did.. but the sweep width would be limited..e tc..

If you have mod skills you could get the largest sweeper you can find and modify it to hook up to the bucket. Maybe try it out with the 42" you have now. A couple of bars bolted to the bucket sides extending out to the pull arm on the sweeper might do the trick. I don't know how well it would turn...

Mulching with the 2305 hasn't left me anything to sweep up, so my 42" sweeper has been idle all summer...

Turning would be an issue, but I'd also want it to dump automatically when I lift and curl the bucket. I think I could rig up something on that by using the 'dump' rope that comes with the sweepers.
