Does any one know if it is possible to mount a front snow blower on a L4600 ? Seems like there would have to be a way....

I don't think a mid pto is offered for a L4600 so whatever you use will be driven from the back pto. The hydraulic units are spendy. The Erskine shaft-drive setup has been around a while so they are available used - sometimes cheap. They are well-made so even 20 year old machines are usually in decent functional condition.
