Tractor
john deere 770 4x4
First I am asking about a front mount snow blower so in so much as I know rears are less expensive and you can keep the bucket on etc I want a front mount, period.
Tractor is a John Deere 770 4x4 with mid PTO 23 hp #7 loader
My question is since I will be removing my loader (can't do just the bucket) and mounts for the 770 are extinct am I stuck with a JD blower (#59) or can anyone suggest another brand that can mount up realatively easily. I can't weld so some type of universal bracket would be necessary. Erskine is out of my price range. I am primarily looking at used but might have to buy new.

I've seen a couple of front mount blowers for Kubotas on Craigslist that might be adaptable to your tractor. "Universal mounting bracket" is probably wishful thinking. :) If you can purchase the metal, cut, drill, and grind to get the pieces you need to suit, then bringing them to someone to weld is the easy part.

Finding a used JD blower with the proper mounting hardware is really your only option-and that won't be easy. Anything else will require extensive fabrication of the mounts and driveshaft.

Thanks, I found a pretty good deal on an Erskine. Now it will be Cab hunting season.

Lucky, Yea !! I found on Craigslist, two towns over and cheap money. It came off a 770 and was a easy fit. Not quite as nice up close but with a little work it will be fine.

What is it 72" ? and I see it's rear pto powered, is there a mid way shaft support, 2 shafts or just one long one?

JB.
