front tires for JD 6X4 22.5 X 10 X 8 BUY?

Hi Guys
My gator needs new front tires the olds ones are rotten. I called JD and they wanted $94 per tires. I will not pay that. I called a few places in cobleskill and they were a few dollars cheaper, but again I will not pay that kind of money for one tire. The cheapest I have found them on internet is

Cayman 4 ply for $68.75.

I still think this is a lot of money but man it is better then $94.

That's not a bad price. I like the more aggressive knobs on the Cayman. Last August, I also had to replace the front tires on my TH 6x4. I first called my JD dealer. They said they don't even bother with selling tires for the gator because they are so expensive. They told me who the local distributor was and I contacted them. The Carlisle turf tamer model cost me $84 each, mounted. For some reason the tires were cracking and leaking at the base of the knobs. A month later, I had to replace the 4 rears. The side walls were cracking and leaking. (On all 6 tires the knobby tread was pretty worn, so I was starting to loose good traction, otherwise I would have added slime or tubes) The rears cost me $89 each. They had to use ether to get those tires to seal on the rim, just like some tractor tires. Don't forget to figure in shipping and mounting costs if you buy them on line!
