I was doing my 10/Hr. maintenance on my 3235 yesterday and just for the heck of it I went and checked the air pressures in all the tires. First thing I found was that the air pressure was incorrect on all tires being that the fronts were under inflated by 4-5 lbs. and the rear tires were over inflated by 8-10 lbs. I got the tractor last fall and I should have checked this way before this. I know I'm not speeding down the highway but you would think the dealer would have had the correct pressure in those tires. I also noticed that the front tires are 16X 6.5 and the other is 16X 7.5. Do you think this warrents a call to my dealer or just live with the 1" differance in the tires? I just think if you pay that much for a tractor, things should be right! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

If it was me, I'd exchange it.

Call ahead and tell them that the cut was poor and you found out it was due to the tire inflation issue. Then tell them you noticed the wrong size tire on the tractor. They'll surely help you out. Obviously the performance of your tractor won't be compromised, but a little thing like that would bug me.

Frank, the tire pressures were WAAAY out to lunch on my 2544 as well. Hugely over-inflated for the most part, different all the way around. Your dealer must have swapped out a tire at some point on your 3235, especially if it sat in the showroom for awhile. IIRC, that number represents the tire width, so the diameters should be the same. Either way, I'm with Mr.W. Have your dealer make it right for you!! Awesome machine BTW /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif!

On my 3204 I scrapped the 2 ply stocks and went with 4 ply Carlisle turf masters....I gained more height, width , toughness and longevity for little money....

Oh and no more flats !! plus I gained cutting height because my stock tires were no where near to stamped size...most of Cubs tires are like that especially 2 plys...

Worth looking into

Well, I called the dealer and he will change it out as soon as they get one ordered in. ( I told him to switch it out on another machine) Just kidding--- Probably how I ended up with it. He did assure me it would not affect the over all performance if I kepted it on the tractor, but I stood my ground and had him order me one. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gifWill be in on Wednesday. Thanks for the replies!!

actually the wider the tire the smoother the ride....I had the 16 x 6.5 , and switched to the 16 x 7.5 and its a nice difference
