front wheel seals 901 ford

Ok. first of all I am new to the forum/thread thing. working on 1960 901 ford front wheel seals..I got new seals (nca1190a) They fit loose in the hub, on one side seal goes in too deep, rubber is below edge of hub.
The old seals were (nca1190a) one side and (conn1190b) other. It didn't take much to get them out but they were in right place, just old. I've had tractor since 1980, and never had hubs off till now. Right side went on ok (except for seal being a bit loose in hub).. I just put grease around seal good, and it fit up against spindle, I think in the right way..

Left side seal bottoms with rubber below edge of hub. Don't see how that can work!!

Don't like the seals being loose in hub..

Am looking for any idea's.. Have ordered different seals (957e1190a) Thanks,

Not sure I understand why seal numbers would be different other than different brand?? Or maybe the left hub has been replaced at some time with a different model??

There are some guys on here that know these tractors very well. Hopefully they can help. If you don't get much response you might try posting a thread in the New Holland owner/operator forum here. Ford and New Holland run together on this forum.

Ok. thanks for reply. First seal #'s were just different brands. conn# was Ohio rubber co.
the other just a newer generic , I think.. Corder is close to Higginsville, Higginsville being about 50 mi. east of KC, just off I-70, Harvey
