Will a Frontier Model 60 MMM fit a 4300? I have the mid mount pto.

Is there any other brackets or such I will need on the tractor?

Its off a 4210, but the guy said it'll fit a 4310 and 4410 as well.

Thanks,
John

First, I don't think there is such a thing as a Frontier MMM.

Your 4300 takes a different MMM attachment mounts than do the 4210, 4310, and 4410's. The 4300 mid-mount deck is yellow, and the 4310 mid-mount deck is green (but not a Frontier 'brand').

I believe the Frontier line is mostly, if not all, attachments for behind the tractors.

Thanks, I didn't know about the yellow on the 4300 decks and green on the 4310 decks, and that they were different. The guy didn't know, so he said it was problably a Frontier, but obviously a Deere MMM.

Guess I can't use it anyways if it mounts differently. Thanks,
John

My 4300 has a green 7 iron on it. The same that come on the new 4310s and such. I don't believe there is a difference between mounting frames. Both use hydraulic lift decks.

Check it out with your Deere dealer. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The parts book has listed the brackets needed to hang each of the respective decks on the 4X00 and 4X10 series. Once you get the correct brackets to hang the mid-mount decks, then the green deck likely can fit under the 4300. Let's don't make life's problems more difficult than they need to be. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif See your dealer for the "right" answer, not the "guy", who doesn't know there isn't a Frontier MMM (must not be a dealer salesman though). Then you will only need to decide what you need to spend to make it work, if that is your choice. LOL

You don't believe there is a difference in mounting brackets, or you know there is not a difference? Help us out here. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I understand the Deere books list a different part for attaching the yellow decks vs the green 7 iron decks, and was trying to explain that to picard335, so he could make his next decision.

OK, Beenthere My 4300 came straight from the factory with the GREEN 7 iron 60'' deck. As I am not sure I said there should not be a difference if you are trying to put a green 7 iron on a 4310 from a 4300 or whatever tractor he was talking about. Since I am not sure I did not want to give the original poster wrong information. The yellow decks were not 7 iron and had a slighly different deck design to them. Metal safety shields insted of plastic are also part of the differences. Hope this clears it up a little. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
