Fellow Posters,
I have a new 3720 and 60" SD RFM (Frontier/Woods) which I use primarily to cut grass for my parents (five acres) and neighbors. I also enjoy cutting some of the margins along the sides of our road (we do not live on a public road and have about one mile of roadside). I have a good bit of property, but very little of my actual acreage is lawn, so I push mow it. I bought the RFM mainly to assist with these projects, but now am second-guessing myself about my selection. I love the mower, but now realize my tractor would have handled a 72" fine. This brings my to my question: with about 10 hours use on my mower, should I KEEP IT, trade it, sell it for the 72" model?? I do not know how much faster the 6' would be, and to get it on my trailer, I may have to go with a rear discharge, which I have no experience with. The RD mowers to me would leave clumps of grass around, which I do not want, but I would need to not have a chute protruding if I went that big. Also, the quality of cut is important to me. My wife laughes at how I cut this mower to mainly help others, not for myself, but I have enjoyed mowing for some time now, and find it relaxing. I would like to speed things up a little if I do not compromise cut-quality. Your thoughts are appreciated. I also wondered if any posters had direct experience with the Economy Frontier Line. I would like to stick with the Frontier moniker because I have the I match hitch.
