Searching this site and U Tube and coming up with NADA to fix above issue.
Tractor runs and shifts fine. Old, yes, but less than 300 hrs on meter. Rust? Yup. Story is the former owner only used front remotes for cleaning up his paved parking lot. Lift lever and quadrant did not even come with the L235DT when I bought it 4 yrs ago. Second owner did some small logging work with it - think just dragging trees off a camp lot. So yes, there are front remotes and rear remotes but no loader came with it. I bought a 3 pt hitch lift lever and slid it over the square threaded rod that goes into the assembly and after weeks of spraying with magic penetrating oils and foam - it still will not budge. Neither will the knob under the seat. I've sprayed that too and even used an adjustable wrench out of frustation on that knob under the seat - absolutely no movement. However, I noted just behind the lift LEVER, a tear dropped cover with a bolt. I unscrewed that bolt, saw lots of thin rusty washers behind it, dowsed them with penetrating magic oil and then placed lever back on the rectangular threaded shaft and felt a TINY bit of resistance. So, with the tear drop plate off and the bolt out, the rectangular pin will twist - even by hand without the lever now. Put the teardrop plate back and the bolt and the actuating pin is frozen again.... What is going on?? Is there a link for this issue anywhere? Photos? Diagrams? I've looked at Messicks and manuals and they are all inadequate on this issue as well as You Tube. Anyone got step by step dismantling or advice? Is the only answer a big tear down beneath that tractor seat? OR has anybody just said forget it and is now using a flail mower? If so, what model mowers would work? And one more, is a Kubota L245DT 3 pt hitch lift lever assembly interchangeable with the L235DT? Might be cheaper for me if worse comes to worse as I know where there is one. It is my understanding an L275DT is the next closest Kubota relative here, but there are none near me. Thank you for any advice! Ouch! My back 40 screams use that brush hog!!!
