Kubota BX2300
We just got an older FS1000 tiller to put on our BX2230 (?) Kubota and apparently did not get correct PTO connections. I've already been told do not lift tiller to limits of lift with PTO still engaged. The tiller has large wheel at end of input shaft of PTO with series of springs on perimeter (must be some sort of shock absorber?) which is covering push pin to remove shaft(?). Local dealer said to go to local driveshaft shop and get one made to work. Does anyone have any ideas? Also getting older Kubota branded snowblower, sorry don't have model number. Will it mount on our tractor? Both the tiller and snowblower were mounted on much older, smaller Kubota.

The "springs" are the adjustable clutch that will let the tiller tines slip when they get caught on a rock rather than break something. There is probably also a pin or bolt that will break (it's supposed to) if to much stress it put on it.
Not sure what you saying isn't the right fitting/connection. There should be a drive shaft that is 2 pieces which lets it contract to shorter and extend to longer in order to attach one end to tiller and the other end into the PTO splined hole on the tractor. You need to have a shaft that will have enough splined drive shaft slid inside itself to drive the tiller but lubricated enough to slide back and forth in the center to still connect but able to move with the terrain.
Maybe some info here Tractor Attachments And Skid Steer Attachments For Any Tractor Or Skid Steer that can help you by watching a video and search Youtube for tractor tilling.

I have a Kubota FL1000 rototiller and raising it too far creates excessive driveshaft angles and the driveshaft can separate causing serious damage to the tractor PTO.
I also have a Kuhn 60" tiller and it also would bind the driveshaft if it was raised up too far.
The previous owner destroyed the original driveshaft because of mechanical interference.
Why they mount the tillers so close to the tractor is beyond me but you can fix the problem.
On my Kuhn I extended the hitch pins on the tiller out 12 inches which now allows me to fully raise or lower the tiller without any driveshaft binding.
You would be wise to do the same if in fact your tiller driveshaft also binds.
As for the springs they are part of the slip clutch assembly to protect the driveline of both the tractor and tiller.
If you have never used this tiller before I would operate the tiller and loosen the springs until the clutch starts to slip without stalling the tractor then slowly tighten them until they slip only if an a large obstacle is hit.

What you are describing is a Slip Clutch. You need a PTO shaft to make the rest work. You might find that at a TSC or a Rural king. The Clutch will need to be loosened and ran tso it slips then put back to measurement.

The tiller has short shaft with no extension or slide adjuster and the shaft is female 12 spline, 1'inch or so diameter and output of tractor is 6 spline 1 3/8" with only about 5-6 inch lacking to connect. Checked with local truck shop and to have them make one sounds to be around $200 or so. Anyone have any ideas as to where to go from here? Also got an older model 222? snowblower that I'm not sure that I will be able to use on this tractor without doing some fabrication. Same thing, anyone have ideas or what you may have done.

Looks like your missing half of the drive shaft. The drive shaft it 2 pieces. One piece hooks into the tractor and the other end slips into that female opening that you have. Looks like your missing the front half of the drive shaft. Tractor Supply stores will have the other half for, probably under $50. Usually people get one the right size or one to long and then cut part of the shaft off to make it fit.
