There can be a bit of repetition if/when bleeding fuel lines before you start up. Starting at the tank loosen/open each fitting or line until they drip. Check the fuel bowl that you're getting flow from the tank and beyond, no plugged pickup screen, etc. A puff of air into the line may tell if swarf plugging the tank's screen. Continue as needed to the injector pump inlet then check each injector line.
If needed, loosen lines at any or all injectors or their return lines and crank the motor until fuel vs bubbles drips out. Where bubbles stop, tighten back up one at a time. I often leave a return line to close last. Injector lines are somewhat like brake lines in that they see very high pressures and a small bit of air can seem huge in effect.
While your under the hood, be sure that the fuel shutoff solenoid on the injector pump is cycling with the key on/off. You can run a jumper from battery + to its terminal and listen for the click. Mine doesn't engage from the ing switch and I use the jumper with key on to operate.
I don't expect smooth running right away after bleeding. If done right it takes only 5 min or so to work out air that didn't bleed. :2cents:
