Need a heads up to locate a bowl, filter and the O-ring.
to seal the bowl to the filter assy.

My bowl seems to have shrunk as NAPA filters don't fit (is that possible?)

So are you looking for a new bowl to fit the NAPA filter? Seems like getting a different filter would be a bit easier.

The replacement filters from auto parts (NAPA etc) all are too snug a fit, like either they are oversize or my plastic bowl has shrunk which with plastics and heat plus age is not far fetched.
My filter assy is Mitsubish factory origional and probably common to many tractors.

The Tractor Store In Eugen Oregon has several Satoh's out front and at least 3 Mitsu parts tractors, I can see through the fence. Perhaps he could set you up. I picked up a new filter for my MT372 and it fit fine, but perhaps I'm not having the same bowl shrinkage problem.

I'd offer to go down and inquire for you but it is 2 hrs away and isn't on the agenda right now, but the phone number is 541-342-5464.

I used a Purolator from Advance Auto and it fit the original bowl perfectly. Maybe this might be an option?

Tried that, my bowl must have shrunk.
Went to a very nice Kioti dealer yesterday and he provided me with a bowl that should fit. Also he confirmed that the plastic bowls do indeed shrink with age.
Mine was so yellowed from age that it was no longer transparent.
Kubota also uses the same bowl on something but the dealer could not remember what equipment it fitted.

Well the Kioti bowl is actually a fit only it is too long and hits the bell housing.
I have no choice but find the shorter bowl so I went back to 'system D' and installed a new inline plastic filter (like B4) and use the bowl as a simple water separator.
I probably should drill and tap the bowl as to be able to add a drain cock but fear I might break the bowl in the process.

On the Mitsu the filter assembly is actually screwed via a flange to the bottom of the fuel tank so relocation to accommodate the longer filter bowl is not an option.
Were the tank threaded for pipe thread then a replacement generic filter assy would be a good option.

I have a Mit D1650 that needs a new fuel filter. I had one delivered from a compact tractor dealer in Va and it didn't fit (too long). So I called and then ordered a new filter with a longer bowl but it still doesn't fit. I can't get the bowl to screw on with the filter inside (again - too long). I wonder if I should try a local auto parts dealer to try and get a fuel filter that fits?

You may wish to try my alternate cure,
I use no filter in the bowl and let it become a simple trash pot.
I then cut the fuel line past the bowl and insert an automotive
clear plastic 'in line filter'.
Works just fine but it is just that I wanted to be back to as origional as possible.
