How do I prime the bowl after changing the fuel filter on my DK50c?

How do I prime the bowl after changing the fuel filter on my DK50c?

Is it possible to fill the bowl and filter and then attach them back to the housing? There is also a petcock which can be used to not allow air into the lines, but I think you missed that opportunity, but perhaps not. I seem to remember it is on the filter housing where the bowl attaches. See if either of those ideas help....

just dont use ether... its really easy to tear up a starter or blow a head gasket using ether on little engines.

On top of my fuel bowl is a ON,OFF, airbleed. switch. when i finish tightening the fuel bowl i set the switch to AIRBLEED and let the bowl start filling up by gravity when its half full i will start the tractor and when it compleatly full i then switch it to the ON possition. and doing this i never get air into my fuel lines..

Thanks everyone, I filled the bowl, turned to air and started with a full throttle to push air through the injector lines. And boom, it's up and running.

You probably didn't get air into the lines from the injector pump to the injectors themselves. I believe if you did, you would have had to crack each line at the injectors and turn it over to get the air out. Usually the air in that portion of the line will compress before the injector opens making it hard to bleed out the air until you crack the line to let it escape. It's good you're up and running.
