Fuel from carb overflow

....we found a pinhole in the bottom of the bowl. Not sure if it was from a stone chip or corrosion, the inside and outside of the bowl looked new, slight dent were the pinhole was. Put a dab of JB Weld on the outside of the bowl and leak fixed.

Pinholes are quite possible, yes. I had pinholes in my sediment cup at
the base of my petcock assembly.

Something else to check:

Helped a neighbor clean up carb on his riding mower. Full of gunk because he didn't drain fuel / add Stabil in the fall.

After several assemble/reassemble and unable to stop a leak we thought was coming from the bowl drain, we found a pinhole in the bottom of the bowl. Not sure if it was from a stone chip or corrosion, the inside and outside of the bowl looked new, slight dent were the pinhole was. Put a dab of JB Weld on the outside of the bowl and leak fixed.

Good point I'll check the bowl too, thanks.

Any luck with the leak. I would use epoxy and just seal it up.

Ya I will after I try some of the suggestions that have been mentioned. The ATVs up at the weekend place and have not been up there in a few weeks but intend to get there soon.
I will let everyone know how I make out.
