Fuel guage swings wildly while driving

I have a Mitsubishi MT180HD. The fuel guage did not work when I got it. Found out that a wire was disconnected on the gauge. Now it works but when I drive the tractor the needle fluctuates back and forth with the shoshing of the fuel. Seems like this should not be the way it was intended to operate.

Anyone have any input?

Check for a good ground. Instruments, tail lights etc, all will act badly without a good ground.

The gauge is working. It is perfect when sitting still. But the sloshing of the fuel causes the gauge to swing.

I wouldn't think that this is the way Mitsubishi intended it to work...but maybe so.
