Oil & Fuel Fuel leak after filter change

I just did my 50 he filter change and I am having an issue with the water sensor dripping fuel. The manual sucks on maintaining this thing. Is there something I should try before I go buy a new sensor. It was tight and still dripped so I backed it off and still the Sam issue. Any help would be appreciated

Think mine had an o-ring.

I took the old o-ring off and re-used it. It's not leaking where it screws on. It dripping out of the hole that drains water out if you need to.

Are you positive that fuel is not leaking from above, running down the back side and onto the drain. If you didn't jack with the drain, it should not be leaking there. It likely has a rubber washer or o-ring seal also that could have been damaged if you opened it.

I have found that it is better to pay the $5 for a new o-ring when changing filters since the old one is usually stretched out of shape (usually too large for the fit).

This is my first filter change so I didn't realize the water sensor would need to be swapped over. So they didn't tell me I might need to replace the o-ring. So I re-used the one from old filter. It is definitely coming out of the drain hole where water would drain out if you needed to do that.
