Hi fellas, anybody know where one can get fuel lines, specifically the metal type with banjo fittings, for a 65 diesel? Well for any tractor really. Nothing on the web and no luck with a search. I, uh, kinda broke one today. Any help is appreciated!

I could use them for 1/2 inch hoses on my drum and pump diesel storage set up.

Ah yes, banjo fittings. If you find anything, let me know, I have been searching for years. I'll give you some options.

1. Find out what thread the banjo bolts are. They may be either metric or British pipe, or something else. You can match up a 90 degree hyd fitting with the same thread and run flared steel line from there or 1-wire hose.

2. You could locate a Weatherhead distributor. They have a fitting called Ermeto. It is a steel compression fitting. You can get them that go from ermeto to a hose crimp or from ermeto to npt or jic and go from there.

3. You can cut the steel line off the banjo part. Now carefully drill and tap where the steel line came out of the banjo part. Tap this to npt and go from there. You could then use a npt to jic adapter and run steel line from there or have 1-wire hose made to where you have to go.

Good luck, let us know how you do, Andy.

Motorcycle shop.
They're very common on brake and hydraulic clutch lines, I think 10 mm is the most common size, but if you do an on-line search you will probably find many sizes.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the suggestions. Sigh... what a drag, I would have hoped that these would be still somewhat accessible. I mean, there are a LOT of 40+ year old Perkins diesels out there. I'll let you know what I find, if anything.

I don't know what the thread standards on 40+ year old Perkins would be, but old Brit bikes had oil lines with Banjo fittings "all over them".

Try a speed shop. You can get about any size or shape for brake uses.
