I've been doing the seasonal servicing of the wife's model 165 and notice the fuel low indicator light on the dash is now staying on when the tank is fuel.

She advised that it "has been that way" for awhile.

Is anyone familiar with the sending unit location or actually what sends the trigger to the circuit?

I researched just pulling the bulb and getting a gas cap with the level gauge included ...... but these tractors have a cap diameter greater than the 2 1/4 inch that the caps with the level indicator have.

Is the guage also reading low, or is it working correctly?

On my agco 5670 it is the same problem and the gauge also dosen't work but for a while the gauge didn't work but the light did ?
