I have a Kubota TG1860 (diesel) The engine started shutting down once in a while but now it won't start. I checked fuel lines and filters and noticed there was no air or fuel coming out of the injector lines. The pump does not appear to be moving anything anywhere. Does anybody have a parts diagram for this fuel pump?

Thanks!

Chris

Hi!

I'm looking for a parts view of the fuel injector pump (diesel)

OK, you did say fuel pump in your post, but let's try these...
I guess my mind reading skills are lacking...

OK! Now we're cooking! Thanks Pete! Before I take this thing appart I'm trying to get a better understanding of what if anything may pop out of place. One thing I know for sure is the pump is not sucking or pushing fuel. The lines are full and filters are clear, but when I crank the engine with the lines off nothing is coming out. Then when I put my finger over the inlet port there's no sucktion. You ever take one of these things appart?

Im not sure on this model but isnt there a transfer pump that delivers fuel to the injection pump. I would not ever put hand or fingers near high pressure pump or lines.

Chris... have you verified that the electric fuel pump is delivering fuel to the injection pump ?
ie. with the fuel hose disconnected at the second fuel filter area, with the key on, you should have fuel flow, IMO. I'm not sure the injection pump is supposed to 'suck' fuel from the tank.

no, I have not worked on one of these, my TG1860 is gas.

Hey Guys! Thanks for the reply.
This model has a mechanical pump. No electric pump. As per parts diagram its gear driven. You're right about high pressure line. Don't worry! I used a finger I don't use too much! Lololol! Not to worry. There's not a lot of pressure on small diesel engines on the sucktion side. They use very little fuel as it is.

From what I've read, IMO there IS an electric fuel pump... the item referenced in my first post.
Unless your TG1860 is unique.
If the pump is working, other commom problems are debris blocking the opening in the bottom of the tank, and a blocked vent orifice in the fuel tank cap not letting air in to the tank.

here is a page from the TG1860 WSM, showing an electric fuel pump does exist.
