Fuel storage

How do you get your fuel??? refilling plastic jugs? Or a pump??? How does one find out about a say 100 gal stand up storage system???? Or do I even need that much?:confused2:

Old tanks on stands like these make $30-$100 on farm auctions . I have 5 of them pushed in the bush at the back of the yard i failed to sell when we switched to 1000gal floor tanks. And there were 3 lay on the ground on the other farm that went in the scrap when we moved in , a buddy gave me a case of beer for the nicest shiny one (300 gal) for his market garden .

I do my fuel storage 55 gallons at a time. Refilling is not a problem with a tank this size. I got weary doing the 5 gallon can method after 10 years, so I devised this set up with the parts coming from Tractor Supply. I load it and unload it out of my truck with my tractor forks. If I had it to do all over again, I would buy the Carbon Steel 55 Gallon tank instead of the Aluminum one. My tank sits inside my garage out of the weather so the painted carbon steel tank would of been perfectly fine. Good luck!

D7E,
That's a nice setup. You shouldn't have any trouble selling them.

Well I picked up a 150 gallon tank yesterday for free , got the #2 fuel for $2.75 a gallon / 140 gallons . $385.00 is better than $3.69 at the pump . I just didn't get a stand that high .:laughing::laughing::thumbsup:
