So my fuel filter somehow sprung a pinhole leak. Pretty straightforward. Change it out and go. I put the new Wix crossover filter on and started it up. After about 10 seconds or less (Once all the fuel in the system was used up I assume) it wound down and stalled out. Maybe some of you can already see where this is going. Mind you, automotive repair is not my strongest field. I took the new filter off and it looked ok but also found that I had the correct model baldwin filter as well so just for laughs I put that one on but first I filled the cavity with fuel to prime it. Still nothing. And now to back up a bit, when I first approached the tractor I turned off the fuel supply which is on the sediment bowl and of course it was open when I turned the tractor over but I did notice a bit of debris in the bowl so I took it off and cleaned it. when I put it back on and opened the valve back up it only peed a tiny bit into the bowl and when I cranked the engine it never filled up even after cycling the valve a few times. Do i need to replace the bowl assembly with the valve? Thats my best guess on the problem. The tractor ran fine before I took the fuel filter off (aside from the pinhole) and as far as I know that fuel shut off has never been closed. Thanks for your help and sorry for rambling. I have a couple pics if needed but they only show a sediment bowl and a fuel filter. Not very exciting
