My 2004 DK 55 fuel tank leaks when full to nearly full and it is parked across a slope and the right side of the tractor is on the downhill side. Anybody have this problem with theirs, and what is the solution other than not filling the tank?

If it's parked on a side hill, your leak may be coming out the fuel tank cap. If you fill it to the top will it leak on level ground?

I had the same problem on my DK35. I found that the float assembly plate was loose on top of the tank. Once tightened down the leak stopped.

Toadhill, when I park it as mentioned above, the filler opening is on the uphill side so it is not leaking there, and DK 35, I have looked under there, but space is limited. I will check again. Thanks

Check the bulkhead boss that the float assembly attaches to, especially if you've ever had it off and put it back on. If you overtighten the nuts or don't torque them evenly you can crack that bulkhead boss. Mine cracked around that area.

My NX4510 is also cracked, however I never tightened the nuts on the boss. What was your solution? Can it be repaired or will it require a new tank?
