Fuel tank woes- Ford 1920

Well my 1920 has let me down, inside of the fuel tank is very rusty. I've emptied it out several times and got lots of rust out but there seems to be an unlimited amount.

There are no new tranks available for this model but I have a used one on the way. The question I have is to coat or not to coat it. Some say POR 15 works great others say it can peal off causing other problems. If the "new" tank is clean should I just clean it and use it or should I coat it.

If the new tank is clean I would just use it, But keep it full of fuel.....:2cents:

Has your 1920 with rusty tank, spent most of it's life outside?

Well must have, I bought it used so that must have been the case. It now live in a containor so hopefully after I straighten this out I'll have no more issues.
