Curious if anyone has installed a Fumoto oil valve on their 3X20. I have one on my VW Jetta TDI and Ford Powerstroke Excursion and love 'em. The trouble I'm having is that Fumoto doesn't directly specify which plug works with which JD tractor. Their engineering department sent me a list of the valves they make along with dimensions and also a list of John Deere engines with oil pan part numbers and the valve that will fit. Unfortunately I didn't see any Yanmar engines on that list.

Curious if anyone has researched this before and might share their findings about what works.

Thanks in advance.

Ah, a fellow TDI owner and club member.

I use a MityVac extractor on my 3520 and Grasshopper to change
oil.

Sorry, I couldn't assist; though, am curious to see if someone
is using the Fumoto valve. I started to on my NB-TDI, but
couldn't because of bypass filter.

Good Luck,

You bet! Gotta love a car that's comfortable, plenty of power (IMHO) and can go 50 or 60 miles on a gallon of diesel. That's as good as if not better than a lot of motorcycles. But then it ain't near as much fun! :D

I really like the Fumoto because it's built well and it makes oil changes go a lot smoother. And a added benefit is that it makes capturing a sample for oil analysis a breeze.

Just gotta get one for the JD...
