OK, here's some info on Trevlac, IN:

Colonel Calvert, said to have brought the Illinois Central railroad to Brown County. The town was named after Calvert—only spelled backwards

Apparently there are several towns in America that were named by spelling an important person’s name backwards. It must have been fun to be a early settler and create and name towns!

Another interesting thing I’ve discovered about Indiana is that there some towns that have the same name! For example, Lewisville – there’s one at Exit 123 off I-70 east of Indy and another at the north east corner of Owen county. Another example is Scipio – there’s one on SR7 north of North Vernon and another east of Brookville almost on the Ohio border. A third one I ran into is Clarksville – there’s one just north of the Kentucky border near Louisville and another one just north of I-69 at Exit 10. There’s also another example that I can’t think of right now and maybe more.

Hopefully Trafalgar isn't one of those 'backwards' names .... if you know what I mean.

We moved here in 1979 and love it here. Before that we lived in Northern Indiana - Bremen. My brother still lives in South Bend and we go up there a couple times a year --- it is still home to me up there.
