I went to get my ladder the other day and about the time I grabbed the old coveralls left there to dry, I spotted it. See the pic.

Couldn't find it in the first picture? Here is a close up shot of the arm pit. There are 5 eggs in there.

I guess I will get to high places the old fashioned way; I will stand in the bucket of my FEL while my wife works the joystick. We have sold our house and will be moving June 2nd. We have told the new owners to let us know when the the babies have left the nest and we will come get the ladder and coveralls. They said no problem.

Funny how quickly they'll build a nest. I drive my p/u on the weekends only. I had a nest behind the turn signal. I even drove the truck a few times before I realized the nest was in there. The mother came back and finished the job. I now have my truck back.

Probably a carolina wren or a house wren. They make nests where ever they want. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Brent,
There are a lot of little Wrens on our property and their favorite place to build nest seems to be in the arms (Gloves) of my glass bead cabinet. I'm watching for them to hatch so I can use the cabinet!
Once upon a time I met a lot of the people in the Engineer Bn (C) from Athens. I don't know whether the Unit is still Engineer or not. Seems like the Bn was Command by the Goodyear Dealer there.

Funny, I just had a similar experience with a wren's nest and also in Athens. (Athens, TEXAS).

Left my jetskis at the lakehouse (on trailer and covered) for 1 week. Hooked them up last weekend and brought them home 80 miles away. After I got home I noticed some leaves and grass protruding from the rear jet nozzle/transom area on one of the skis. A bird's nest with 4 eggs in it had survived the trip home at speeds of 70+ mph.

Many years ago on the farm the wrens used to build nests behind the tractor radiator or in the twine box of the Binder.

The 1343d EN Bn was the unit I enlisted in. It was deactivated in 1999. That armory now houses HHB 1/203D ADA (Patriot).
