i was out clearing land in the back Tymbmiv.jpg and somehow i lost a pull pin from the loader. i have no idea how a linchpin "fell out" but it was sitting on the floor mat, and the left pull pin was gone. MJxUsi2.jpg nkE3a20.jpgcalled the dealer and they sent out 3 guys to get me back running again. 2 hours later, the 4 of us finally got the loader untwisted and back on. if this ever happens to you, just lower your kickstands, pull the other pin and unhitch the loader, reset the hydraulics back to closed, re-attach the loader and put the pins back in. do not attempt to just try & put the one side on; it is an exercise in futility.

has anyone else lost a linchpin from normal use? the service guys say they have never heard of it.

peace

Somehow, a posting with pics of a tractor with a loader absolutely no paint missing does not ring a bell as "This is important to me." ;-)

But I'm sure it may be valuable to some.

My loader was new once upon a time... nice paint and all. But it never fell off. But the brush hog almost did... things happen.

Glad you got your loader back on ok. Nice the dealer sent the cavalry! No issues with any bent or twisted mounting points? Enjoy that nice new paint, it doesn't last... trust me!

I recently had a keeper bolt for one of the link arms head for freedom. Pin popped out. I'd been dragging around my 6' brush hog for a while, cursing the problems I was having with it digging in the skids! Wasn't until I ran the tractor up on to a road/path and was turning did I look to see the horrifying angle that the brush hog was contorting itself relative to the tractor. It actually jammed itself into one of the rear tires! I backed up and released that binding and it's then while looking around and scratching my head that I saw the link arm was in pure "float mode," detached. Back at the ranch and in repair mode I got wondering what I was going to do about the missing pin. Scraping off the grass clippings on the drawbar shelf there it was, the pin! Called the dealer and was given the size for the bolt: he said that I was fortunate to have not lost the pin- that might have been several days to get one. I said that I was going to put thread locker on them. Good idea he says. He also said he was going to let the rep know: my dealer is really doing a lot to improve, and I appreciate that (which is why I try to buy as much as I can manage from them).

I regularly check all pins. I'd lose one from time to time on the B7800 (in 1,100 hrs I have only lost one on the link arms).

I often need to wait till spring thaw to find the pins that go missing during winter. ;-)

Yup! These things happen ;-) Part of the pleasure.......

Sigh, I've never found anything (other than buried junk, stuff I DIDN'T want to find)! My wife, however, did find the fuel cap to my Kioti! (it's a LONG story!)

Never had that happen to those pins. But my pin-on bucket originally used pins/rings and brush pulled them out few a times in very short order. I changed them out for nuts and bolts because I never take the bucket off.

other than some missing paint, it's all good. since then i keep finding nails all over the place though, i've had 3 pulled out of the same front tire in as many days... i'm just glad my tire shop don't charge me for pull & plugs.
