My 1998 231 Massey Ferguson has a blown fuse, but not sure what its for?? It is the most "weirdest" looking fuse I have ever sseen before! I have NO idea where to get them. I think its 5 or 6 of em' in the fuse panel on the left hand side of the tractor just in front of the dashboard (underneath). I'm sure some of you will know what I am talking about.
Anyway, every light (including flashers) works on the tractor EXCEPT the small, round, red "running" light directly below the implement or "plough" work light in the rear of the tractor on the left hand side. (Y'all know what I am refering to). There is NO power getting to it. The bulb is good (no burnt spots). I AM ASSUMING THIS IS A RUNNING LIGHT AND NOT A BRAKE LIGHT??
I took the blown fuse out and just tried to by-pass it with a pair of needle nose pliers. The light did NOT come on. I don't know what the problem is or where to start looking for the replacement fuses.
Truth be known- Obviously, I don't need the light to run the tractor........BUT....That blown fuse is really aggravating me not knowing what its for and the "little red light" not working is making me feel even more agitated!
I've gotta solve this because the tractor looks too new. It is in immaculate shape. Everyone thought I bought it new. Their mouths dropped when I told them its a 98'.
Thanks,
Travis R
