Future of tractors?

   / Future of tractors? #2
How long do you think these would last out in the real world? 10 -15 years before it cost too much to reapair. Ill take a 60-70's- international / ford / deer over this.

A long time ago now, didn't some guy present that concept here on TBN as he would apply it to regular tractors? Or is it just a figment of my imagination?? (Distinct possibility! :D) Anyhooos...except for specialty machines, why would anyone want it? Looks expensive to fix if it breaks...as gregsons says...and will parts even be available down the road? It violates the KISS principal.

The concept has been around for quite awhile, and prolly is getting closer to happening.

Deere has some big woods equipment now that operates while the operator is in a "pod" like that. Always level and turns to whichever direction the logging operations are "looking"

Here is a "walking" beast concept from Deere.

Also, 35 years ago there were wood harvesters operating on very steep hillsides that worked but don't think are made anymore.

Thanks for posting the video. Time will tell. Maybe it will have to be a GM product :D
