FX22D engine problem

I have a friend that has a F22D and this weekend while he was doing some loader work the engine began to sputter and stopped. He started it but it sputtered for several seconds and then straightened out but a few minutes it did it again. I checked the following for him:
Air cleaner clean
Water doesn't appear to be in fuel (the tractor is shedded)
The tractor will start on full throttle sputter several seconds smooth out to about 2400rpm then sputters again and stops
No white or black smoke observed
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

dirty fuel filter, dirty fuel tank ?

Empty the tank, and blow out the lines, replace the fuel filter, fill w/fuel, bleed the fuel system, and see if that cures it.

Definately sounds like fuel problem. Maybe "air" getting in line... Might check the lines between the injectors!!!!

I agree with the others. Sounds like it is starving for fuel.
My old TO 30 Ferguson was doing the same thing and it was the fuel filter.
