G'day all. I live Aldgate, in the Adelaide Hills, Australia. Full of dairy farms, market gardens and vineyards, paradise! I have just bought my first tractor, Yanmar fans will be happy to know I have bought a... Yanmar! FX24D, VN recon (that'll raise some eyebrows I'm sure). I am not certain but the dealer (reputable) says it's a 27hp but the manual (thanks to Hoye Tractors for sending them out) and many other sources say its a 28hp. Doesn't really make a difference as it has plenty of pulling power and being 4WD with diff lock it goes everywhere. I have collected and restored many classic cars and bikes, my most recent restoration (just about done) is my 1968 Land Rover Series 2a SWB petrol, fully optioned. I use to think that was unstoppable but the FX24D has blown my sox off (if found please return to Aldgate). It is a gray market job, but over here in Australia that doesn't seem to bother anyone that much, at the end of the day a machine is a machine and I can generally fix most simple machines it's just the time it takes and the money it costs. So far 24hrs use in the middle of winter and it's a beaut, a little cracker. My lads (7 & 9) will soon have a name picked out for it I'm sure. I am looking forward to any advice anyone has on this machine of mine and opinions welcome, good or bad. Thanks for reading. Regards to all, Hans.
