A friend gave me his G1800 that needed lots of TLC. In the process of getting it ready for use I discovered the fuel and temp gauges stopped working. This unit also has a secondary starter button added since when you turn the key all the way to the right to start it didn't engage the starter. I have discovered that once in a great while the ignition switch would crank the motor. I sprayed some electrical contact cleaner into the key switch to see if that would help the switch engage the starter. Well, right after that I noticed the fuel and temp gauges stopped working.
I will see if the needles are stuck as happened to Phil Murphy and Texwing. Hey, I have found 1 fifteen amp fuse under the screen covering in the cab and that looks to be working properly. Are there any more and if so where are they?
