First. apologies if this issue has been covered fully - I just can't seem to find anything with 'search'. If there IS a discussion - please point me to it!
I am changing the twin pto belts and the new set seems way too short.
I bought a G1800S earlier this year which needed Front PTO Belts from day 1. (It had one when we test drove that immediately shredded). I looked up specs and picked up what I thought was correct from an auto parts store. They were so-so, and had issues dis-engaging and would often continue to spin the blades with the lever off.
So, I ordered what I thought was the correct set. They are labeled: 66021-25080 K I removed all of the guards, tensioner, and the jack screw. The belts simply cannot go on. Even if I could work them on; there couldn't be enough slack for them to dis-engage. These are after market belts. I notice that Messick's seems to offer some as well. I can order genuine Kubota one's, but it seems like something else is going on.
What could I be missing?
The tractor's serial number is 012474
thanks in advance!
