I ended up with a g1900 that was never sold until this year. As of now it only has about 10 hours on it. I'm not sure who set it up but I'm finding a lot of stuff messed up on it. The deck was mounted incorrectly, wrong/missing deck wheels, PTO brake not attached, etc. Minor stuff so far. Anyway it got me looking, and suspicious of everything.
Anyway, tonight I noticed a grinding type noise when the machine is idling at low speed. It is not constant and I hear it most down at the rear end. In the area of the HST pump if I had to guess. It goes away, or is just drowned out when I speed up the throttle.
Any ideas on this one. Is it something to be concerned about?
