New guy here...not new to Kubota (I work on them occasionally at my job) but I've had zero experience with the G2160 with the RCK48R rear discharge deck (direct shoot).
I bought this thing used. WELL used. I have it running and it mows again but my problem is that the grass clumps up severely. It will plug the discharge, then I have to manually clear it with the lever on the front of the bag assembly. Tonight I took the bag off and then tried to mow without the bagger, just leaving the rear of the assembly "open" so that grass would discharge out on the ground rather than into the bagger. It still plugs. Right in the back of the chute, there is a plate that lifts when the lever is moved. That plate is curved in an "s" shape. Right at the rearmost curve, where it's curved upward, the grass builds up and then of course plugs or falls out onto the ground. I love this little mower but I absolutely hate the deck and bagger. I have a country yard and have no idea what to do with the clippings when I'm bagging. In the fall, I can see the bag being handy for moving pine needles and leaves, but in the spring/summer, it's worthless. I'd just as soon put a 54" side discharge on it if anyone's got one, that or continue to use rear discharge if anyone has any suggestions on how to make it quit plugging up?
Does anyone have a picture of up inside the chute, looking down toward the deck? That might help me understand what is missing from this mower, if anything.
