My tractor & hoe are about 1.5 yrs old and I've had the metal end cap on the return blow off multiple times. The dealer/distributor, Mike Lane of Los Molinas, CA has worked with me right along, going above and beyond in many cases, but this is a messy PITA.
The cap's ears break off and the o-rings bypass and fluid flows all over the place. We've replaced the cap and rings (5x), the single valve (twice), and the complete hoe valve assy. once. The failure has never occurred while operating the hoe and it does not seem to matter if my 4 in 1 is on or not, it has failed three times with only forks on it. We've tested the pressure and it is right on the specs. I adjusted the stop on the TPH so that it does not top out - suggested by Lane, ad I'm plumb out of ideas. This has to be an over pressure issue as there is no way for a mechanical failure to occur.
It just failed again and Lane says he will install a free remote on the back to isolate the hoe from the tractor so we'll see how that does.
Anybody have a similar problem - solution?
