G6 gators on 54C deck

Looking for anyone who is running the new G6 gators on the 54C decks on the X700 series.

I have been running predators lately, basically a clone of the gators I think. Lately I have noticed if I am cutting tall grass, I get the common problem of the middle strip being left uncut. Also, the vacuum seems pretty low. After doing some research it seems the predator blades are nowhere near as good as the original gators.

Anyone have a part # and some user experience with the G6 blades on the 54C? Also, wondering if I should run the G5's instead of the G6's? I am just concerned the heavy G6's will hurt my fuel economy. Then again, I can't see any reason why the 24HP diesel can't handle G6's!

Edit: I should also add, does anyone have any experience with the OEM JD Hi-Lift blades? I imagine they leave long grass clippings but I bet they shoot them pretty far with all that airflow.

I have G6 gator blades on my 54C deck and love them. Got them from ShopGreenDealer.com for $50 which included shipping 396-719 is the part number. These blades are heavy duty and have lots of lift. My x720 handles the blades without an issue....not sure about your diesel. LOL. I think you will like them and at $50, they are cheaper than regular blades from JD.

Gators do about the best on my old 54 deck. Predators were poor at best. I tend to think that the OE high lift make too much wind and plaster the grass all over. Gators claim to direct the grass to be recut.
