Game Camera with Cellular

I searched for game cams but most of what I found was a few years old. With technology changing so fast I thought I would start a new thread. I had an incident last night with someone at one of my remote properties getting into things. So far no more than a few broken things and gates left open. I plan to go to Cabelas tomorrow and look at their game cams. I would like one that will email or text me a pic so I can call the sheriff. Marginal cell phone connection at this property so degrading the pic sent but not the pic stored would be ideal. Would like to spend no more than $500. Anyone have any recent experience? I have a standard game cam, but want to know immediately if someone is on the property.

Thank you. I will be getting at least one with cellular ability at the main entrance point to know someone has come onto the property, then set up my existing cam plus maybe get another for selected "evidence" shots around my tractors, etc. I would like the one with cellular to be fairly configurable so that it isn't trying to send out an 8M picture all the time yet I can still tell if it is wildlife or human. I can pull off the higher Meg picture when I get there.

I know Spypoint makes (or made?) a cellular trail camera but when I tried to pull up their website before posting I received an error message. You may try to check them out later today. Their camera was a 3G model and used a sim card, if memory serves. Sub $500.

I went to Cabelas and they had a model of Spypoint but not the antenna accessory and the unit was being discontinued. He also thought there we other items needed, but was nit sure. They suggested going online.

It is looking like if I have an AT&T phone I go with an AT&T associated camera? Same for Verizon? ....

I am not seeing thing that sends out a lower resolution pic so I don't need as many bars. The property is 1 or 2 bar on Verizon (phone service I use)

I have 3 of the Covert 3G cameras, they work well. Texted/emailed picture isn't the highest quality but it's good enough to see what you're looking at and the camera will store high res images. I was able to have a trespasser arrested and prosecuted with photos from mine about 2.5 years ago and have had no more problems with trespassers or theft since then.

Pretty much all the cameras will use GSM networks which will mean AT&T or T-Mobile.
