Here is a picture of my tractors (and truck) new home. I sure am pleased with it for the $1500 I invested. It is 26' wide x 24' deep x 12' high and with the 6' wide clear strip in the ridge and the white interior it is incredibly bright inside.

Last nights storm didn't really drop enough snow worth plowing, but I just wanted to go out and play. So I hooked up my front mounted snowplow and plowed the driveway anyway.

Front mounted snowplow from a differant ange and closer up.
I have to either applaud or or wonder about you guys who like plowing snow with a rear blade. For plowing snow with a front mounted blade sure is easy and fun, never mind no stiff neck. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I agree w/you about plowing forward Mark. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Does the blade angle?

By the looks you have enough room to push your banks back..like in the winter of 2000-2001.

Good Morning Thomas,
Yes the plow does angle, If I get off the tractor and do it manually, which I really don't mind doing. When and if, I ever trade up to a new tractor, I will add the ability to power angle it.
At this stage of life I am just satisfied to have my tractor and plow to go out and play with. It doesn't take much to make me happy, a Shiny Rock, a Cute Blonde.
Heck, I'm easy !!!!

And a good morning to you Mark. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

20F and the windchill 4F..and the snow showers are getting more intense. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Wonder..when you have your snow blade at 45 degrees, how far do you have the blade be on your rear tire?

I have mine blade about 8" and thats just about enough when the blade at 45 degrees plowing around corner..if not to sharp of a corner..kinda wish it was 12" wider at times.

oops..got to scoot..the coffee pot whistling once again /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif stay warm and safe over there, and put another log on the fire. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Hi Mark ,

I am also Mark and live in NH :) , I have gotten an old plow blade from a friend. I am curious about how you attached it to the bucket. It is hard to tell from the pic. Do you have a closeup ?

I have been pulling my hair out trying to find the best and cheapest way of clearing snow. I think I found it !!

Looks Great , and I really like the garage. Happy Plowing ..

Mark

Mark,
The way the A frame on my old Fisher blade is designed it allows me to set the cutting edge f my bucket against a length of angle iron and the ears that would normally hold a pin will sit right on top of my cutting edge (see pic)
Then all I do is lock it tightly into place with a strong chain and a chain binder. It sticks out a little further then I would like, but untill I stop procrastinating and get the better mounting bracket built this works dandy.

If I may say so. I am Honestly and Truly Envious.
The Bachelor life has some definate advantages, but it sure looses some of the fun around the Holidays. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
