gardenway sicklebar mower

hello,im new to forum, i have a gardenway sicklebar mower,its a 4hp briggs, i need the top cuttin bar for it,the bottom bar is 36'' and the #s i have found are on the handle brace 10646 (9-85) 40674 can anyone help me with this, it runs and drives good. thank you

MTD bought Troy Bilt. Does MTD not have your parts? That's where I would start.

thanks,i have not tryed mtd, i knew troy-built went bankrupt in 01,i will try mtd. i have looked on ebay,thats about it. i havent looked much past that. thanks.

I thought maybe Troy Bilt had sold out to MTD like so many other lawn care companies. Sort of sad to hear that they went that way.

thanks everyone for your help. i will look into these places. if anyone else knows anything please post. yes its to bad mtd builds most lawn equipment now. i heard john deere and cub cadat are the only ones left.

My dad used to have two simplicity sickle bar mowers & the two wheel had [3] 36" heads. He inherited a bunch of old broken blades so dad talked w/ his uncle @ the industrial supply place & bought flat stock, drills, taps, Ribits & a hand ribit set & made his own copys from a few lenghts of stock. Helped to have a surpluss of teeth to chisel off and mount on new stock. Had 6" length of RR rail for an anvil.

does anyone know where i can find model #, the only thing i have found is 10646 (9-85) 40674 theses #s were small #s on the handle bar brace sticker thanks
