Gas MF 90 not starting

So i have this Gas MF from my grandfather and for the past few years the engine was frozen. this month i finally got it turned over and i can actually use the starter. Once I got to that stage I started to clean the fuel bowl/filter, got new spark plugs, put 6 quarts of 10w 30oil (temporarily), cleaned the distributor/cap, and now after i put everything back together. It wont start. I see some smoke coming out of the exaust which means it is getting gas but it wont fire. ive tried starting fluid and made sure there is no bubbles in the fuel line. Could someone help me? Im also not sure the correct firing order for it. i know the distributer spins clockwise but thats it. i dont want to be confused with 1342 and 1234 orders with everything else on my plate.

Regardless of whether you want to be confused with firing order or not it has GOT to be taken into account if you (or anybody) has removed spark plug wires. The common order is 1342 but that's not ironclad for all engines. It should be stamped on the intake manifold or somewhere. If you don't know how to install the wires in the correct order get help from someone who does know how. You need the correct point gap, spark plug gap, and timing as well. I could talk you through most of it but it's time consuming and I don't know your level of expertise.
